Release review

A short list to run before a production release: the change, the proof, and the rollback.

Use this on the pull request or the release ticket. The long API and website lists live with the essays.

  • The change is named, and the owner is named.
  • The check that proves the change is in the suite, or the reason it stays manual is written down.
  • Failure output says what broke, not only that a count moved.
  • The rollback is a command someone besides the author can run.
  • The monitor that would page you is already watching the new path.
